A Daily Dose of Zen Sarcasm!

And We’re Off!

Note to self: DO NOT take a Benadryl when faced with a possible sinus infection or a drop in barometric pressure. It’s nothing but a WORLD OF PAIN from there onward.

Right now I feel as though my sinuses are doing a hedonistic samba –possibly as a death ritual. The thump-thump-thumping is slightly better than it was earlier this morning, but I’m still trying to down fluids to dilute the horror inside.

But I still gotta give myself props: I wrote over 1700 words on my first day of NaNoWriMo insanity!!!! You didn’t think I’d written that one entry just conveniently to forget about the whole thing, did you?

But it’ll be a whole ‘nother kettle of fish to see if I actually finish.

All I hope is that I don’t have just a good first day showing like last year’s and then get wrapped up in some inane project (this year, I have SOCK MONKEYS to fall back on, people!) or have an alien being decide that he wants to be born on the 29th of the month, thus rendering me as useful as a slug on a salt lick (I don’t know how I managed to help cook Thanksgiving dinner, honestly).

But hopefully we Nanos will prevail and come through with 50,000-plus words come November 30th! W00t!!!!!!!!

  1. Congrats! You beat my first day total. However I always seem to write more on the weekends than during the week. At least this year I’m not working weekends.

  2. hmmm…1700 words . . . that’s sort of like haiku-centro-po-morphism . . . something like that. . . kudos to thee . . . my whole story to Glimmer Train wasn’t much longer than that…carry on
