I was reading redcurrent earlier, and specifically reading her blog’s birthday post.

This made me realize that today my blog turns six months old, as it was started on March 21st of this year. It’s not the longest run ever, but wow….. this little blog is six months shy of a WHOLE YEAR! *le snark*

I’m not sure if my blog has found its voice, but it’s sure provided loads of entertainment and release for me. And a creative outlet. And a feeling that, even if I don’t get too many visitors per day, I still get some people reading these musings (usually friends and family…. *hi mom!* * hi everyone!*) and later I get to hear them talk about it.

And it’s a bit like pseudocelebrity: charming and yet disturbing, that being the point in the first place.

So, I am doing the Blog Birthday MeMe from redcurrent and I am thinking about who to tag.

I will tag Vixen, because she replied to my original whining. And she is The Vixen.
I want to tag Becca, but I know she’s insanely busy and tired these days.
I should tag Mr. Me, except that I think he’s too cool for these things.
I’m tagging PeaKay, because we haven’t talked in a while.
And I’m tagging Ivy O. because she was my sister-sans-loot for a while.

Here is my sentence:
I admit I’ve never been very good at reading patterns, sometimes just favoring what I shall call “creative mistakes” and which I rip and redo until I like the results.

You know…. it’s funny this sentence should come up. I recently finished that blankie and I am STILL struggling with the booties (though much farther along), but yesterday I had a moment of creativity sans pattern when I made my iPod cozy –I owe pictures of both, I know.

It’s weird to think that life hasn’t changed much in six months… and yet it has, and in ways I never ever dreamed of. It will be interesting to see what I’m thinking in another six months or a year… or two.
