A Daily Dose of Zen Sarcasm!

Refreshed/iTunes 8-Ball

Do you hear that silkiness? It’s the sound of my well-rested eyelids batting my eyelashes thoughtfully; this is a sound that has eluded me for a while.

Tooth now sprouted, it seems The Meow is sleeping longer. Today he woke up at almost 5 am, and you have nooooo idea what kind of a difference that makes. Then again, I never thought that sleeping six hours uninterrupted could be considered a luxury.

Anyway, it sure beats the Monsieur’s idea of getting a family sized prescription of Lunesta. Or at least just a his n’ hers and letting the kid bawl while we lay unconscious.

Mmm…. unconscious.

Of course even with minimal sleep, Herr Meow can certainly pull the ladies. Yesterday evening he managed to captivate, solely with the cuteness of his feet dangling from the carrier, an incredibly nice Aussie girl who turned out to be E šŸ™‚! Ah, small world this is. (Hi E!)

Anyhoo, as I was reading Debbie’s blog and thinking of just how many embarrassing songs I have stored in my iPod, I remembered seeing something over at Carrie Broadshoulders and I figured I could come clean with all my embarrassing secrets. So here goes:

iTunes (or iPod, or both) Magic 8-Ball
aka, Letting the world know that I have a crappy taste in music

1. How are you feeling today?
“The Good Book Song”- The Main Street Singers (A Mighty Wind Soundtrack)
(I guess peppy?)

2. Will you get far in life?
“Vertigo” – U2 (Vertigo)
(That doesn’t sound promising)

3. What do your friends see you as?
“Don’t Cha” – The Pussycat Dolls (PCD)

4. What is your best friend’s theme song?
“Lonesome Town”- Ricky Nelson (Pulp Fiction Soundtrack)
(Pat? Does it apply?)

5. What is the story of your life?
“Here I Go Again” -Whitesnake (The Whitesnake Collection)
(pretty zen…)

6. What was high school like?
“No Particular Place To Go”- Chuck Berry (The Great Twenty-Eight)
(Holy poop!)

7. How can you get ahead in life?
“Baby Got Back” – Sir Mix-A-Lot (Mack Daddy)

8. What is the best thing about your friends?
“Escape”-Enrique Iglesias (Escape)
(that one is pretty good)

9. What is in store for this weekend?
“Another One Bites The Dust”- Queen (Queen: Greatest hits)
(Um…. dare I ask?)

10. What song describes you?
“Blue Hotel” – Chris Isaak (Chris Isaak)

11. To describe your grandparents?
“Weapon of Choice” – Fatboy Slim
(well, my grandmother was like a loaded pistol….)

12. How is your life going?
“Save It For Later” – The English Beat (Special Beat Service)

13. What song will they play at your funeral?
“Comfortably Numb”- Pink Floyd (The Wall)
(…in order to depress all those in attendance even more?)

14. How does the world see you?
“She Wants To Move” – N.E.R.D. (Fly or Die)
(that’s too funny)

15. Will you have a happy life?
“With Your Badself” – 2Live Crew (Move Somethin’)
(I’ll take that as a ‘yes’)

16. What do your friends really think about you?
“How Deep Is Your Love?” – BeeGees (Saturday Night Fever Soundtrack)
(uh……… ew?)

17. Do people secretly lust after you?
“Amber” -311 (From Chaos)

18. How can I make myself happy?
“The Reason” – Hoobastank (The Reason)
(I don’t get it)

19. What should you do with your life?
“We Are The Champions” -Queen (Queen: Greatest Hits)

So in conclusion, iTunes is NOT a very good 8 ball.

Have a good morning everyone!
