Sharing my newest-found love, the Kewpie– I thought this one looked ready to give a mom a Mother’s day bouquet:

I have seen the actual dolls –very coveted collector’s items but really rather ugly. Well, ugly in my opinion. I certainly don’t want anyone accusing me of being a horrible person for saying that celluloid Kewpies are ugly, but say it I must.

But the original drawings are absolutely precious! It’s hard to describe just how these little cute renderings made my stomach do a flip. I feel I now understand what people mean when they just declare they LOOOOOOOVE babies!.

I’ll be repeating Kewpie to myself a lot now. Don’t mind me: I’m just the mildly obsessive weirdo with the brand-new Kewpie obsession.
